The Tale of Genji

My website is here.

Do you like reading Japanese novels/comic books?

I like reading both English and Japanese books.

Now I am reading The Tale of Genji in modern Japanese.

The story is interesting!

How do you usually choose the foreign books to read?

It is said that choosing easy books would help people to learn their second language.

It might be true, but I think reading something interesting is the best way.

A book that matches your level but not interesting won't help you much.

Don't worry, just read the books which are attractive.

If the book is too difficult, read the version in your native language, and try again.

I have an advice, you should buy the books, not borrow the books.

When the number of books you tried to read is increasing, the joy of learning languages is also growing!

My sister soon to be married

My website is here.

Hi everyone!

My sister is going to get married this September.

I am so happy to announce this news!

In Japan, there are so many styles of the wedding.

So it is fun but sometimes it's difficult to decide the details.

She is going to do her wedding ceremony in a Buddhist temple.

It is very traditional but rare recently.

To be honest, it is the first time for me to attend the Buddhist style wedding.

How are your country's weddings?

Trip to Aomori!

My website is here.

Hi everyone, I went to Aomori where my parents in law currently live.

I went to the Nebuta festival, which is traditional and big for the people there.

The fireworks were so beautiful!

You should visit there if you are interested in traditional Japanese festivals.

But I recommend you to eat the scallops!

Aomori is famous for its delicious apples, but scallops are the best food there.

Additionally it is difficult to get the fresh scallops in Kanto area, so it is a good chance to get the fresh scallops when you are in Aomori.

Give it a try!

Since I am in Saitama now, you can book the lessons.

Please feel free to contact me if you want to learn Japanese!

Changing jobs in Japan is not easy?

My website is here.

Good morning!

I have a news to let you know.

My husband decided to quit his current job.

He's looking for his new job.

In Japan, it is said that changing jobs is not easy especially if you are over 30 years old.

There are several reasons, and the main reason is that the person who changes the jobs looks easy to get bored and give up.

I think it's not true.

Everyone has the right to find the best way to live for themselves.

My husband is making efforts to find his best lifestyle which is difficult for him, since he's already 32 years old.

How is your country's culture?

Do you think changing jobs is good?

Changing the guitar strings!

My website is here.

Hi everyone!

In Japan, it's very hot today.

I don't want to go outside of my house.

So I decided to change the guitar strings.

Guitar is becoming common in Japan.

I found the guitar strings made for Japanese people.

Japanese language is printed on the cover of the strings.

When I was young, there was no product like them.

So in the past, the guitar players might have to study English language?

I am not sure.

Anyway learning different language would help you to enjoy the music all over the world.

If you are interested in Japanese music, give it a try to learn Japanese!

Do you like Pokemon?

My website is here.

Do you like Pokemon, a kind of famous Japanese games?

Many Pokemons have the different names between English and Japanese.

Did you know that?

For example, Bulbasaur  is called Fushigi-dane (フシギダネ) in Japanese.

It means "mysterious seed".

Also, Ivysaur is Fushigi-So (フシギソウ) , which means "mysterious grass".

And Venusaur is Fushigi-Bana (フシギバナ), "mysterious flower".

The word フシギ (fushigi, 不思議) means mysterious and strange.

It's interesting, isn't it?

If you'd like to know more, please feel free to ask me.
